CSS General Science and Ability paper 2021 was a conceptual and balanced paper. The examiner has asked questions from almost all areas mentioned in General science and ability syllabus. In this Blog we will be solving the General ability part only, therefore the major discussion will be on that only.
Examiner has asked basic questions from age problems, geometry (Area, perimeter, etc), percentage questions, speed problems, direction sense test, simple interest, scrambled words, number series, and analytical reasoning (shapes).
This year examiner has neglected logical reasoning questions, averages, sets, sampling, central Tendency and probability. No theoretical question was asked.
Keeping in view the past trend, I always recommend to the students that they must solve different variety of questions. It increases the familiarity with different types of questions, and it became easy in the exam hall to crack all such questions. Secondly, read good text that covers all the syllabus. Don’t go far the selective study or shortcuts, if one wants to score 75+ marks. General Science and ability by Mian Shafiq, published by the Jahangir world Times is the best book to cover the whole syllabus in a comprehensive way.
